Club Notes 18/08/2015

Well done to our men's reserve team who recorded a hard fought victory over Killyclogher in the first round of the chmapionship. Their reward is a trip away to to Strabane this Friday at 7:15pm in what we hope will be another determined effort. Good luck to all involved.

Then on Saturday we have the senior ladies championship semi-final where the Errigal girls face local rivals Carrickmore in Killyclogher at 7:30pm. This fixture has brought a great level of interest down through the years and Saturday's promises to be no different so we encourage as large a turnout as possible and wish the team all the best. Subsequently the ladies U16 game for Saturday has been postponed until further notice.

Other underage matters see our U16 boys who previously lost out to Carrickmore, travel to Newtonstewart on Thursday for 7:15pm and then they host Dromore on Saturday in Dunmoyle at 1pm. Further details will be confirmed through the club text. Underage training resumes for all boys and girls from U8-U12 at 6:30pm on Thursday and we take this opportunity to thank all who fundraised, participated and helped out with our junior cycle last week and made it such an enjoyable event. Meanwhile the U13's are training on Tuesdays at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 10am. Well done to club representatives Matthew McCarney, Connor and Lorcan McCaffrey, Ewan McCabe and Ciaran McAleer who took to the hallowed turf of Croke Park in their activity day in the past week in what is sure to be a memorable experience for each of them.

There are 2 important social dates for all members to take note of. The first being the club barbeque hosted by our ladies in Tailor's on Friday 29th August with tickets priced at £10 and then on Friday 11th September Kelly's will be the venue for the official launch of our 2015/16 fundraising campaign. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided in both cases, it would be great to see a large turnout.

The Alphalot jackpot, of £11000 remains with the drawn letters this week being F, G, H, I, R. Well done to our lucky dip winners, Kathleen McKenna, Kate Rois McCann, Shane Donnelly and Sonia McMenamin who each received £25 lucky dips.

The club take this opportunity to wish the Errigal contingent of Mickey, Peter, Aidan and Michael the very best in what promises to be an exciting encounter in Dublin on Sunday.

Finally at the recent committee meeting, votes of sympathy were extended to the following families on their recent bereavements - McGarvey (Lurganbuoy), Devlin (Ballinderry), McKenna (Luton).
