Football activity for the club finished up last Sunday when our U-16 girls contested the grade 1 championship final against Aghyaran in Loughmacrory. However despite a spirited and committed performance they suffered a disappointing 0-11 to 1-6 defeat. Thanks to all the girls for their efforts during the year and to the management team of Pascal Canavan, Claire Campbell, Joe Farrell and Stevie Canavan for their help and assistance throughout the campaign.

The semi final of Scor na nOg takes place this Sunday when Grainne Mullin in Recitation and Orla Hamill in Solo Singing take to the stage in Carrickmore. The entertainment gets underway at 5.00pm and the very best of luck to both girls.

Forthcoming events include our AGM which is scheduled to take place on Sunday 7th December and the Ladies AGM which takes place on Friday 21st November. Also on 21st November we have the annual mass for deceased members, this year taking place in Dunmoyle.

In association with MJM Training, the club are also hosting the hilarious new play, St Mungos, in St Ciarans College on Sunday 30th November. Tickets for this not to be missed show are available in Pat Traynors shop, in Kelly's Inn or from any adult player or committee member.

A road safety initiative 'Live to Play' is taking place in the Tyrone GAA Centre in Garvaghey on Monday 17th November. This event aims to raise awareness and to educate communities on how best to stay safe on the roads. The programme is aimed at young drivers (16-24) but is applicable for all road users. To register a place please contact club secretary Eamon Kelly immediately (07748907270).
